Johan F karlsson

Johan F Karlsson (1984) lives and works in Malmö, Sweden. He holds an MA in Photography from Aalto University in Helsinki, Finland, and a BA in Culture and Arts from Novia University of Applied Sciences in Pietarsaari, Finland.
His artistic practice investigates time-related and spatial processes, resulting in photography, video, performance, as well as sculptural arrangements using natural materials.
His works often emphasize themes related to the passing of time, for example, by illustrating how ephemeral phenomena, duration, change and various dimensional properties can influence human perception, with the aim to create a deeper connection with the environment, nature, time, and space.
